Ivan’s Journey Through Loss, Faith, and Healing

January 29th, 2025 |HaTikva Aid

Ivan is a widower and father of 7. Just before he immigrated from Ukraine 20 years ago, his wife was tragically killed in a car accident. Ivan chose to continue with the immigration process and came to Israel with his 5 children.

He eventually met a woman in Israel, married her, and had 2 more children with her. His new wife later became terminally ill and passed away as well. Ivan is a man of faith, but the periods of mourning affected him.

He is a therapist by profession, and only recently, after taking time to mourn, has he begun to accept clients for treatment again. Because of the time that he took off he lost a lot of income and therefore acquired debt. God used HaTikva Project to help pay off his debt.
